The consequences of changing time have officially caught up with Red and Chloe.
Disney has released a brand-new trailer for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, giving fans their best look yet at the next chapter in the wildly popular Descendants franchise. The preview teases new villains, familiar faces, original songs, and another magical adventure through Wonderland that’s anything but a fairy tale.
Disney has officially released a new trailer for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, the fifth installment in the Descendants franchise and the direct sequel to Descendants: The Rise of Red. The film follows Red (Kylie Cantrall) and Chloe Charming (Malia Baker) as they deal with the consequences of altering the timeline during their previous adventure.
The trailer reveals that Red and Chloe secretly hide the magical time-traveling pocket watch inside the Royal Vault, believing it’s finally safe. However, their actions have created an unexpected new threat. Maddox Hatter, once an ally, has become a powerful new villain determined to recover the pocket watch and manipulate time for his own purposes, putting all of Wonderland in danger.
Returning cast members include Kylie Cantrall as Red, Malia Baker as Chloe Charming, Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter, Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts, Brandy as Cinderella, Paolo Montalban as King Charming, and Melanie Paxson as the Fairy Godmother. The trailer also introduces several new descendants joining the franchise, including Pink, Red’s younger sister; Luis Madrigal, the son of Luisa from Encanto; Hazel Hook; Robbie Hood; Felix Facilier; and the twin sons of Mr. Smee.
Fans can also expect what has become a signature part of every Descendants film—brand-new musical performances. The trailer features a first listen to one of the movie’s original songs while showcasing elaborate dance numbers and colorful Wonderland-inspired costumes that continue the franchise’s blend of fantasy, music, and adventure.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland explores what “happily ever after” really means after Red and Chloe changed history. As Wonderland prepares to host the Kingdom Cup Games, the pair must stop a new villain before time itself is rewritten once again.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland premieres on Disney Channel on July 16, 2026, before streaming on Disney+ beginning July 17, 2026.
