626 Day is about to get even more adorable, and Stitch isn’t the only star of the show this year.
Disney fans around the world celebrate June 26, better known as 626 Day, in honor of everyone’s favorite blue alien, Experiment 626. This year, however, Disneyland Paris is adding a brand-new twist to the celebration by putting another beloved Lilo & Stitch character in the spotlight. For the first time, Angel is taking center stage with her very own pop star performance, giving guests a limited-time entertainment experience packed with music, dancing, and plenty of pink-powered fun.
Disneyland Paris has officially unveiled Angel’s Pop Star Party, a special limited-time entertainment offering taking place on Main Street, U.S.A., from June 24 through June 28 as part of this year’s 626 Day festivities. The energetic mini-show invites guests to sing, dance, and celebrate alongside Angel, Stitch, and a talented troupe of dancers in a colorful street party that transforms Main Street into a lively concert venue.
The new performance also introduces guests to “Glitter Glide,” an upbeat original song performed by actress and singer Dara Reneé, which debuted earlier this year as part of Angel’s Pop Star Party campaign. Throughout the celebration, Angel embraces her new pop star persona while bringing plenty of sparkle, music, and high-energy choreography to Disneyland Paris.
Of course, Stitch isn’t about to let Angel have all the fun. Throughout the day, guests can spot everyone’s favorite mischievous alien greeting visitors near Main Street Station during the morning before returning later in the evening to wave goodbye as guests leave the park. Meanwhile, over in Discoveryland’s Arcade Beta, visitors can meet either Stitch, Pleakley, or Lilo during special character greetings, making this one of the best opportunities of the year for Lilo & Stitch fans visiting Disneyland Paris.
No Disney celebration would be complete without themed snacks, and Disneyland Paris is serving up a few exclusive treats for the occasion. Guests can cool off with the refreshing ‘Ohana Bubble Fizz at Victoria’s Home-Style Restaurant, while Stitch-inspired marshmallow lollipops will be available at various locations throughout both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. These limited-time offerings help bring even more tropical island vibes to the celebration.
Disney PhotoPass is also joining the festivities with two exclusive Magic Shots available in front of Plaza Gardens Restaurant. One features Stitch, while the other includes Angel, giving guests a pair of collectible digital keepsakes to commemorate this year’s special celebration.
The celebration comes at a perfect time for the franchise, as Lilo & Stitch continues to enjoy renewed popularity following the success of Disney’s live-action adaptation and a wave of new merchandise and entertainment offerings across Disney Parks worldwide. By giving Angel her own starring role, Disneyland Paris is expanding the celebration beyond Stitch alone and giving fans another reason to celebrate one of Disney’s most beloved animated universes.
