Dance your cares away, Fraggle fans — the Fraggles are heading back on tour!
Following a successful run of performances, Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock LIVE has officially announced a second national tour across the United States. The live stage production, based on the Emmy Award-winning Apple TV+ series, will launch its new tour on September 18, 2026, with more than 40 stops planned across the country.
The family-friendly production brings beloved Fraggle Rock characters including Gobo, Red, Mokey, Wembley, and Boober to life through a combination of puppetry, music, comedy, and large-scale creature effects created by the renowned Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Audiences can also expect appearances from Doozers, a giant Gorg, and several original puppet characters created specifically for the stage production.
A New Adventure in Fraggle Rock
The stage show follows the Fraggles as they embark on a quest to locate the legendary Celebration Stone, an ancient treasure said to have the power to bring everyone together for the ultimate party. Along the way, the Fraggles encounter new friends, exciting adventures, and plenty of music and laughter.
The production is written, directed, and choreographed by John Tartaglia, known for his work on Avenue Q and Shrek the Musical. The show combines fan-favorite songs with new musical numbers, visual effects, and puppetry designed to appeal to both longtime Fraggle Rock fans and a new generation discovering the characters through Apple TV+.
More Than 40 Cities Planned
The upcoming tour will begin in La Crosse, Wisconsin, before making stops in cities including Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Lexington, Tucson, Des Moines, Charleston, Shreveport, and many others throughout the fall. Additional dates and locations are expected to be announced as the tour continues.
Before the national tour begins, the production is currently playing at New York City’s New Victory Theater through June 21, giving East Coast audiences an opportunity to see the show this summer.
