If you’ve been eyeing the Disney Inspire Visa, you might want to apply ASAP, because the current bonus is about to change.

Disney Visa

A major update is coming to the Disney Inspire Visa Card, and it directly impacts one of the biggest reasons people have been signing up.

The card’s current sign-up bonus will be updated starting May 5, 2026, meaning the clock is officially ticking on the existing offer meaning the initial Disney Gift Card offered with sign-up will be going away.

Disney Visa

Since launching earlier this year, the Disney Inspire Visa has been offering a total of up to $600 in value for new cardmembers.

Right now, that bonus includes:

  • A $300 Disney Gift Card eGift upon approval
  • A $300 statement credit after spending $1,000 within the first three months

This structure has been especially appealing for Disney fans, since the gift card can be used across vacations, parks, dining, and more.

Starting May 5, 2026, the sign-up offer will shift, and the biggest change is the removal of the Disney gift card.

Instead, new cardmembers will receive:

  • A $500 statement credit after spending $1,000 in the first three months

While still valuable, this update effectively reduces the total bonus by about $100 compared to the current offer, and removes the flexibility of receiving part of that value as a Disney gift card.

Disney Visa

For many Disney travelers, the original offer stood out because of how easy it was to use the rewards. Disney gift cards can be applied toward theme park tickets, resort stays, dining, merchandise, Disney Cruise Line, and even purchases on Disney’s online store.

With the shift to a statement credit-only model, the value is still there—but it may not feel quite as “Disney-specific” as before.

Disney Visa

Even with the sign-up bonus change, the Disney Inspire Visa still includes a range of ongoing perks.

Cardholders can earn Disney Rewards Dollars that can be redeemed toward Disney vacations, including theme park tickets, resort stays, cruises, shopping, and even movie tickets.

Additional benefits include:

  • 200 Disney Rewards Dollars after spending $2,000 annually on Disney resorts and cruises
  • A $100 statement credit after spending $200 annually on Disney theme park tickets
  • Up to $120 in annual streaming credits for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+

On top of that, cardmembers earn:

  • 10% back on Disney streaming services
  • 3% back at U.S. Disney locations and gas stations
  • 2% back at grocery stores and restaurants
  • 1% back on all other purchases

The card carries a $149 annual fee, positioning it as the premium option in the Disney Visa lineup.

Should You Apply Now?

If the Disney gift card portion of the bonus is something you value, this is one of those rare moments where timing actually matters.

Once the change goes into effect on May 5, that part of the offer is gone, replaced by a slightly lower total value and a different reward structure.

If you’ve been thinking about applying, this is your sign to move sooner rather than later. Lock in the current offer while it’s still available, because once it’s gone, it’s not coming back in the same form!
