If you were planning one last visit…it’s already too late! As of today, one of the most unique preview experiences at Universal Orlando is officially gone — for now.

The Epic Universe Preview Center has closed its doors indefinitely, marking the end of an era as Universal prepares for what’s coming next.
Located at Universal CityWalk Orlando, the Epic Universe Preview Center served as a sneak peek into Universal’s highly anticipated new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

Inside, guests could explore detailed models, concept art, and interactive displays showcasing the park’s upcoming lands, attractions, and experiences. It quickly became a must-visit spot for theme park fans eager to get an early look at what Universal has been building behind the scenes.

But now…that chapter has officially closed.
What’s Replacing It?
The space isn’t staying empty for long.
Universal is preparing to transform the location into a new Universal Legacy Store, a retail concept that celebrates the history and evolution of Universal’s parks, attractions, and iconic moments.

If you’ve visited past Legacy Store locations, you know they typically feature retro merchandise, tribute displays, and nods to fan-favorite attractions—making this a very different experience from the forward-looking Epic Universe preview.
What To Expect Next
For now, there’s no official reopening date for the new Universal Legacy Store, but construction and transformation are expected to move quickly. While it’s always tough to say goodbye to a fan-favorite experience, this change feels like a step forward.
