Disney World quietly announced a reopening date for one of its most beloved resort lounges. But there is a lot more happening to dining across the property that every guest needs to know before they go.

If you have a Walt Disney World trip planned in 2026 and dining is a big part of your itinerary, there are several resort restaurant and lounge closures happening right now that could directly affect your plans. From a long-awaited reopening at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to a multi-phase closure rolling out at Saratoga Springs, here is everything you need to know, broken down by resort, with dates.
Several Disney World resort dining locations are currently closed for refurbishment, scheduled to close soon, or just recently reopened. If you are staying at the Yacht Club, Beach Club, Saratoga Springs, or Grand Floridian, pay close attention to the details below before finalizing your dining reservations.
Crew’s Cup Lounge at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Crew’s Cup Lounge Reopening June 1
Crew’s Cup Lounge closed for refurbishment on February 23, 2026. Disney has quietly announced a reopening date of June 1, 2026, though the Disney website still lists May as the expected reopening month, so the date remains subject to change.

The lounge typically operates from 4 PM to 11 PM daily. During the closure of neighboring Yachtsman Steakhouse starting May 11, Crew’s Cup will carry some Yachtsman menu favorites, including the Lobster Bisque, Caesar Salad, and the Yachtsman Signature Bread.
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Yachtsman Steakhouse Closing May 11
Yachtsman Steakhouse, one of Walt Disney World’s more upscale table service restaurants, will close for a refresh on May 11, 2026.

It is expected to reopen sometime in early August 2026, though an exact date has not been confirmed. Guests with dining reservations during this window should make alternative plans.
Turf Club Bar and Grill at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
Turf Club Bar and Grill Multi-phase closure
This one is the most complex of the group. The Turf Club is undergoing a multi-phase refurbishment running from mid-March through mid-September 2026. The Turf Club Lounge closed in early April and will remain closed through early August, during which time the Bar and Grill will stay open with a pop-up bar and modified menu.

The Turf Club patio then closes from early August through mid-August. The Bar and Grill itself fully closes from mid-August through mid-September 2026. Quick service dining at The Artist’s Palette will remain available throughout the entire refurbishment period.
Garden View Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience Now open
Here is the good news in the mix. The Garden View Lounge Tea Experience at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa officially reopened on March 19, 2026, after being closed for six full years.

The return includes updated offerings and a refreshed look, making it worth adding to your itinerary if an afternoon tea experience is on your bucket list.
All closure and reopening dates are subject to change. Disney has a track record of quietly shifting dates on its website, so checking the official Disney World calendar or your resort’s dining page close to your visit is always a good idea.
Should These Closures Change Your Disney World Resort Plans?
For most guests, these closures will have a limited impact, especially since Disney Springs is within easy reach of several affected resorts and offers dozens of dining options. However, if you are staying at the Yacht Club or Saratoga Springs specifically for the dining and lounge scene, it is worth knowing that your options will be temporarily reduced during these windows. Booking advance dining reservations as early as possible and having backup options in mind are both smart moves for any trip this spring or summer.

Disney World dining moves fast, and closures are announced quietly and often with short notice. Whether you are planning a trip this spring, this summer, or just keeping tabs on what is changing across the resort, staying informed is the difference between a smooth trip and a disappointing surprise at check-in.
