Construction is moving quickly on Shanghai Disneyland’s newest major expansion.

A new update has revealed the first visible ride track installed for the upcoming Spider-Man attraction—marking a major step forward for the park’s first Marvel-themed coaster. Here’s what we know!
Construction continues to progress on the upcoming Spider-Man-themed attraction at Shanghai Disneyland, with new images revealing the first sections of ride track now installed.

The track installation marks a significant milestone for the project, as it signals the transition from foundational work into vertical construction and ride system development.
The new attraction is part of a larger Spider-Man-themed land, which will become the park’s ninth themed land and its first major Marvel expansion.

At the center of the land will be a high-energy thrill coaster featuring Spider-Man, designed to deliver a fast-paced, immersive experience inspired by the character’s world.
Construction on the land officially began in May 2025, with earlier milestones including the installation of the first vertical steel supports for the coaster.

The addition of the ride track now confirms that the project is continuing to move forward steadily, bringing the attraction closer to completion.
The Spider-Man coaster is expected to anchor the new land, which will also include themed dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences built around the Marvel universe.
While Disney has not announced an official opening date, the attraction is widely expected to debut as part of Shanghai Disneyland’s ongoing expansion efforts in the coming years.

This project represents one of the park’s most significant additions since the opening of Zootopia in 2023, and reflects Disney’s continued investment in expanding its global parks with new intellectual properties and large-scale attractions.
For now, the installation of the first visible track pieces offers one of the clearest looks yet at what’s to come—bringing Spider-Man’s upcoming coaster one step closer to reality.
